1. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device by a website. They can be session cookies (deleted when you close the browser) or persistent cookies (retained until expiry or deletion).
2. Cookies we use
We use essential / strictly necessary cookies for authentication via NextAuth:
- Session token (
next-auth.session-tokenor__Secure-next-auth.session-tokenon HTTPS): identifies your logged-in session so you can access organizer dashboards and auctions. - Related CSRF / callback cookies used by the authentication library to secure sign-in flows.
These cookies are HTTP-only where applicable, use SameSite protections, and are scoped to the application path.
3. What we do not use (today)
- No third-party advertising cookies
- No Google Analytics / Meta Pixel / equivalent tracking suites in the product
- No non-essential marketing cookies requiring separate opt-in banners
If we introduce optional analytics in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required, request consent.
4. Legal basis
Essential authentication cookies are necessary to provide the service you request (secure login). They are processed consistently with our Privacy Policy and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.
5. Managing cookies
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block essential session cookies, you will not be able to remain logged in to Cricket Auction Pro.
